I have got 15/41 and I really like it for dirt, it really does not matter how beig of a sproket you go to, you are gonna top it out, the faster the machine the faster you will want to go, but with a 15 you are sacrafcing low end, 15 would be good for dirt, but in sand you will probly want to drop back to a 14, and alot depends on what mods you got, I have fmf pipes, noss head with 20cc domes, k&n, v-force 2 and a few others, and my friend has a heavely modded shee and he out runs me top end with a 11/41 mods make the diff

i dont see how your friends modded shee will beat yours (if you have stock gearing) sure, he might get out the hole faster but you should pass him quick 11 is insanely small, i remeber my 13 would revout way to fast. a bike will only go as fast as the gearing allows it, i dont care what you have done to the engine, unless he has some crazy ass transmission modification, if that even exists.

My 87 with t-3's and 13-42 gearing is 7mph faster than my 99 with pro circuts and 14-41 gearing. I guess the toomeys must rev way higher than the pro circuts, which makes it faster than than my 99 with it's taller gearing.

let me rephrase myself, he outruns me on a 300ft drag, and on top end through a mile strip he outruns me by three or four lengths, he has a big bore kit, toomeys, porting, bigger carbs, reeds, and just about everything on the sheee that is not necessary he has removed, even plastics
