Got all but the last wheel nut off the left front and it ended up getting rounded off to where I can't get a grip. moto4man350 Posted July 8, 2005 Report Share Posted July 8, 2005 try a hammer and a punch. you'll need a new nut but then again it's rounded already. If so, I'd get a 13mm socket and a hammer and beat it on there...slap your ratchet on the socket and turn away. I usually do that for rounded bolt heads and it works well. I don't weld enough to be sure I wouldn't mess up the threads. thanks alot I'm just trying to replace wheel bearings and I get this trouble. Then replace those soft crappy nuts with some graded hardware... 390308[/snapback] Saw some of those at Farm King 3 miles from my house and didn't want to drop $30 for them. I GOT IT OFF THOUGH!!!! Used an old hand jack handle with the notched end and a pipe wrench the welder said we'll use a hot tack since you don't want to weld on it for very long w/out messing up the threads.
