mud91 Posted June 21, 2005 Report Posted June 21, 2005 mods: cool head, fmf fattys/pipes, 21cc domes, +4 timing, v-force 3 reeds/cages, reed spacers, k&n air filters(2) no air box. sea level: 300 mains needle on 5th clip with 65 pilots. With 28 mikuni's I think the pilot is to big? Ever since I bought this thing I've always had a bog in low end. I check my plugs after riding and were dark almost wet on top. If i go smaller with pilots will I get this bog out. I've done everthing with the needle and the air/screw and can't seem to get rid of the bog. Quote

CombatTalon2 Posted June 23, 2005 Report Posted June 23, 2005 anybody out there..really need some help here. Does anybody think 65 pilots are to big 384745[/snapback] yeah, i would say that you have some big pilots in there. Im running 27.5s in my shee. I'm pretty sure i need 30s, but not any bigger than that. Quote
nutcase Posted June 23, 2005 Report Posted June 23, 2005 I agree.I am also running 27.5 with mods to my shee.It seems to be set up perfect for mine.I cant imagine going to 60's.Thats with mine having pipes, carbs, shaved head, prolites, reed spacers, mild port job etc Quote
Yaxy Posted June 23, 2005 Report Posted June 23, 2005 I have the same exact set up as you but have mx porting and I run the AirBox. I run 20 pilots and have used 15's and have great throttle response. Since you do not run a airbox I would say 30 would be about right. Chris Quote
Animalman294 Posted June 23, 2005 Report Posted June 23, 2005 I think with your mods you should run a 25 which is stock. That stock pilot can handle a lot before you have to step up, but if you prefer I agree with the posts above the largest I would consider for your mods would be a 27.5. The ported motors seem to be running 27.5.s or with larger jugs, but with only pipes and the basic mods you should try the 25 and see how that works. That 60 is only good for extreme motors or a straw to make it more interseting when you crack open that next cold one.................. Quote
