quad4me Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 going to have to rebuild steering stem bearing ......I need the tool to get the "nut" out of there. Who makes one....or what can I use instead. I do not currently have access to a welder...so count that out. Thanks guys/girls Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 find a bolt that fits pretty tight in there and then get 2 nuts for that bolt. screw them all the way down on that bolt and tighten them against each other. then put the head of the bolt down into the steering stem nut and put a wrench on the nut on the bottom and turn counter clock wise...that should get it pretty easily. that thing shouldnt be in there that damn tight. first time i took one out i used a hammer and a screw driver... brock_fuzzy_69 Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 1 1/8 inch is a tiny bit of a sloppy fit but if it isnt in there incredibly tight then it will work the metric size i think is 32MM but dont quite recall for sure i used the inch and an eighth myself came out with no fuss at all Quote
SANDSTAR Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 i used a hammer and a screw driver... 382151 Thats my method. Beat it 'till it falls out. Quote

Thanks guys/girls 382136 I have a shit load of them in stock. $14.00 shipped if you are interested. They pop right on to a 3/8 drive. Pop it on the end of an extension on your ratchet and your done in a matter of seconds. Shipping takes about 2-3 days to FL. Quote
