Fireman-hott Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 I just went from T-5's to fatties.I would never ride the T-5's for the trails again.Way to much clutching with the T-5's and alot of tire spin. 377561[/snapback] If your having to clutch it than you wouldn't be having too much tire spin.That all comes down to tire size/sprocket and shifting. Everyone complains about tire spin this, or bogging that, the setup that works for duning isn't gonna perform in the trails, and you have to consider that before you decide on your pipes. Hence why I'm able to hang in the woods with a 68mm CUB running Rockets. If your going Big Bore, get a pipe that can handle a bigger bore. Rockets, CPI, Shearer come to mind. Do a search find the dynos and find what RPM each makes thier peak torque and horses, and make sure it falls somewhere in what your planning on doing. Quote

Ohhhhh yeahhhh.....thats what I had to do when I tried to ride the blue shee with Fatty's on it.....until I bought LRD They make big bore pipes too.....I might just have to try a set of them with my stroker and ported top end to see how they react. Theres still a lot of pipes to choose from, it seems from all the banshee pipe reviews i seen the fmf fatty pipes get beat by every pipe they compare it too. But im leaning towards either the toomey t-5 system or one of the 2 dmc pipes. So that brings me to anyone on this forum have either the t-5 system or either the dmc 916 or the alien pipes on there bike if so let me know how they perform and sound.
