sredish Posted June 3, 2005 Author Report Posted June 3, 2005 That's good to hear!! I still don't think your gas had anything to do with it I think you need to get out there today and rip the shit out of the banshee; show her who's boss....LOL 377246 Yea, me neither, hell I really dunno, just pissy I guess. Maybe the rings weren't seated real well from sitting and heating her up some let them expand and reseat or something.... who knows. I need to go ride the piss out of it. Only thing, those damned T5's are the loudest sunsabitches around. Holy crap. I was flying around on it the other day, and scared the living hell out of the horses with it Sent them into a stampede across the pasture, kinda funny tho. I'll go run her some more today and then tomorrow I'm going to the track with the Honda and Banshee, double the riding.... Quote

bigboybanshee Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 Oh no!! What are you running for your timing now? Did you try switching the coil wires around and seeing if that made any difference? Quote

banshee tuner Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 I'm having the same problem after today, right side not putting out right after taking reeds out and flipping them, and changing the main jets from 280 to 300. It run great and cranked on the first kick, now it's hard to crank and right cylinder does not put out enough exaust. Got to be the reeds but I tried to put everything back like I had it and no luck, will take a closer look tomorow. Quote
Big Blue Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 She seemed to be warmed up pretty good and firing much better, so I threw in a few WOT punches in there. Dammit, hard to steer and see what's going on with the blur of trees going by.... ran pretty damned good. Scott 376888 Not used to that after spending all that time on the honda are ya? Quote
bigboybanshee Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 Not used to that after spending all that time on the honda are ya? 379934 Hey Scott, have you done a leak down test yet? The only thing I can think it could be (if not your reeds) would be the crank seals. That would also explain why it's happening on only one side and spitting shit out the silencer Quote
sredish Posted June 10, 2005 Author Report Posted June 10, 2005 Well bigboy, I'll be resuming this after I get back from ......... drumroll..... ALASKA!! banshee tuner Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 Mine is still not running right on the right cylinder. I swapped the plug wires, reed cages, checked carbs, and even swapped plugs. I thought I had the problem when I found the spark plug top unscrewing, but it was not the problem. I don't have a compression checker but that is my next step since the right side has a lot less exhaust. Still pulls good on top end though. Quote

Scott 380033 hope you do some fishing...had a similar problem with the left cylinder, changed all the stuff you did, I even ran a hotter plug in the left side. What ended up curing my problem sodiering a plug in style connector to the coil and coil wires, haven't had a problem since.Good luck Quote
