I have an '01 Banshee, it has a K&N filter, Prodesign intake, and std Wiseco pistons. I hadn't ridden it for several months and recently gotten it out. It ran fine for several hours, then it started bogging down much like when a plug gets fouled; in fact, the left side exhaust went away. I replaced both plugs and it idled fine, revved fine; however, when I took off, it bogged down really bad. Also, it makes a slight winding noise that I hadn't noticed.

I use bel-ray H1R oil, mixed at 40:1. I have a lot of oil in the airbox. I never re-jetted the carbs when I installed the K&N. I still smokes really bad and fouls plugs more often than before the K&N. I run it without the airbox lid. Any suggestions?

Do the pipes get clogged? Should I clean them out? How?

When I feel the exhaust on the left side, it feels as though there is not compression. You know, it just feels like a continous flow of air rather than the charges of compressed air coming out. Thank you!

Do you have the TORS on your bike?

Did you check your compression?

You might have bad gas. It is an easy fix just empty the tank and put in new.  if that fixes the problem great.

It was the gas! I put fresh gas in and it works just fine. I should know from being in medicine that if I hear hooves, look for horses, not zebras!
