I happen to have a spare banshee head off a friend of mine. Just wondering, when you mill the head lets say .030, are there any special cuts or is it just a straight across mill? :shrugani:

It's pretty simple, just set it up to remove the same amount over the entire gasket surface (.030"). Don't clamp it down by any means that will stress the metal so that when you unclamp it it won't be flat like it was when clamped.

That sounded confusing!

Try to set it up so when machined it is in a relaxed state, is that any better?

It's a good cheap mod. Enjoy.

I took .038 off of mine and got 21cc domes out of it. This gave me 152psi compression...just right for pump gas as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know anthing about reshaping the domes :shrugani: I have some real good friends who are machinist so i'll let them handle the milling. What do I need to do to reshape the domes?

I had a friend of mine mill my head and reshape the chambers. he milled off .065 and when he was done the he checked the cc of each chamber. they were at 17cc. it runs good at high altitude and premium fuel.

So if i just get the head milled .030 and don't reshape my domes will it not be any better? I know some really good machinist but don't know if they can reshape the domes. I will have to ask! I am confused now about what to do :shrugani: Would it be better to send it to Patriot or Trinity?
