brock_fuzzy_69 Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 yeah i always felt the longer runners of that intake were a far better design than the trinity the short runners of the trinity intake never impressed me at all Quote
sredish Posted May 19, 2005 Author Report Posted May 19, 2005 If I can talk myself into getting a set of drag pipes for my banshee I'll hook you up with the T-5's I'm running now. I just have to convince myself that I need some out of frames 371319[/snapback] You need some drags, you need some drags, you need some drags.... Quote

sj820 Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 The Trinity intake looks nice but is not well designed! I have suggested many times in the past to my friend who has the 2 into 1 trinity intake to purchase the Graydon Proline intake for hs 40mm Lectron. It was out of his own mouth that I first heard negative feelings towards the Trinity intake right after he purchased it! Maybe it works fine but the graydon seems like a better choice for 2 into 1 setups! Personally I like 2 carbs and 2 pipes! I recently purchased the Trinity intakes for the dual carb setup! Still waiting for them! Quote

fastbanshee4u Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 2 cylinders - 2 carbs the way yamaha designed it,for me.What is amazing how good you can make a shee rip with keeping the stock carbs.Just get rid of the TORS. Mine had 34s but there not a have to have item unless you got a very good port job and pipes. Quote

Your right, in regards to being able to make some pretty darned good power with stock, but I like the power of the single carb much better. Smoother, more low end pull, and as good or better top end. Being easier to tune one carb is just a by-product, but it's a very good one. Quote

I need a minimum of 45 minutes to get those lowered. Yeah, I still have the TORS tops on. I need to get the eliminator kit, then find someone that can drill and tap my carbs. Quote

I can swap my needle out in a matter of minutes, if not seconds. I can have the main changed out in under 3 minutes. Give me about 7 or 8 for the pilot. Should be less time with the new intake due to clearances. Quote
