I had a piece of aluminum get shaved off by the dowel when putting the cylinder on once. Just a very tiny piece. Enought to make it leak and make the head not sit flat. Took it apart and cleaned the surface of the cylinder base and the cases and haven't had a problem since.

ok im confused. is it leaking from the bottom of the cylinder or top of the cylinder??? in your original post you said the lower part in front of the cylinder. where exactly is the coolant coming from?

yeah it was leaking out of the bottem front, when i started it up today i thought it was leaking again but i checked a hose and i hadnt tighned it up so its NOT leaking now but NOW the shift side cylinder is running weak, there isnt very much exhaust coming out of that side, could that be from the carb screw not adjusted? at least its somewhat running now
