That's ridiculous, when will these fools learn...Huge intakes can actually make you lose power, the stock intakes are a pretty good size, they only need to be opened up a tiny bit, get rid of the corners and bead blast em. Real builders know the power is in the exhaust and transfers

I'm sure it will make very good power, I'm not questioning that. But it could make more without those huge intakes, when the intakes get too big the fuel charge loses velocity. Sometimes bigger isn't better. banghead

i always wished my gf would tell me that... anyway, im not really a big fan of those boost ports. my cubs have them and i guess they are ok. but my other cylinders didnt and ran real fuckin hard. that intake looks really smooth in those cylinders. hope he didnt smooth them out too much. rougher is better...

Please post a dyno sheet when you get one. You really changed the intakes in a major way. I am REAL curious to see the sheet on this one.

This is kinda one of those "what if" situations that come up after talking in the garage with a few buddies. No one that I know has raised them that far out of sheer fear of what would happen.

Props for trying somthing extreme!

I agree huge intakes dont always work the best, unless you can get that much through the transfers. I dont belive the extra boost ports do shit.I have ported quit of few banshees, and the fastest one had no boost ports. Some engine builders actually epoxy them shut.

Yeah, that was my big hang up on the huge intakes. Gotta get the rest of the stroke to agree with it.

However, every year at Glamis, someone shows up with somthin' that makes you just scratch your head and walk away.

Sometimes expeimentation pays off.
