Ruko Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 I just got my new Cheetah Cyls... they looked awesome until I tryed putting my pipes on. I got the 485 cheetah kit with Mikuni 34mm carbs bored to 35.5mm and CPI inframe pipes. The right carb fits no problem, but there is no way the left will fit. Try as I might, the pipe interferes by about 1/2". Does anyone have any sugestions?? Quote

locogato11283 Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 i have the same problem with my stock cylinders and the same when i put the cheetah cub motor in my bike. seems like the engine sits a little to the left in the bike. my right pipe clears no problem. the left hits the carb and my air box set up just a little. i just make it work i guess. but its def not with just the cheetahs. 1800bigk Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 the upp boots have numbers on them and they have an offset to help clear the left side, but it will still prolly hit. You have to tilt the left carb Quote
NYUK Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 or space the pipe out a lil, washers, rubber . Quote
