sheefreak Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I am from the Battle Creek area and I have to travel to the Badlands, or Silver Lake for anything worth a darn. Nothing real close though. I think there is an indoor mx track over in your area somewhere though, maybe someone can chime in and give you some details. Quote
jaysvt Posted April 12, 2005 Author Report Posted April 12, 2005 how long of a drive is the badlands?? jay Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 the mio area has a great trail system, you can ride from town to town, even drive up to the gas stations. also st. helens has good trails, wide and fast. silver lake sand dunes are by far the best place in mi. in my opinion. Quote

You would think that there were more places to ride (other than tracks) in southern MI but I haven't found any LEGAL spots yet. Mt. Morris is just lame IMO and my back still hurts from the trip to Gladwin last weekend. So let me know if you want some company when you go out again. Quote
munkenaround Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Try Baldwin. Near the intersections of hwy 10 and 37 about an hour north of Grand Rapids Quote

dajogejr Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Jay...just north of Detroit meself. Last week I went to Dusty D's. (yeah, it's called Dusty for a reason...) I know it's not close..but, it's only a 2.5 hour ride, Standish area. The guy is great... I ran out of 2 stroke oil. He GAVE me a bottle of Golden Spectro... I offered to pay, and he said nope, I buy it for you guys. You can donate a 5 spot if you have a good time, you will. Has a drag area...small track and tons of trails. He owns 500 Acres. PM me if you want the details...it's a cool little gig. Last weekend, MDS (Michigandirtslingers.com) and another ATV site had their Pig Roast/Picnic there...about 100 quads/bikes, etc. Quote
rockgc9 Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 There is a place right inside the ohio/michigan line. I cant remember the name exactly but I will find out. It is like exit 4 or 5 on 75 Quote
banshdog Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 IMO I wouldnt pay the money to ride the indoor track in tecumseh, its not worth it, too small. Its called Pro Source, have ridden it a couple times. I was up a Dusty D's last weekend too, dajogejr did i see you there? For the MDS pig roast? Dusty is a cool guy and has some nice land to ride on. Had lights for the drag strip and all. Anyways, I am a SE Michigan rider too, so keep posted when you guys plan a ride. I am just North of Detroit myself. Quote
