OK, I have a '90 banshee, pretty much stock. I wanted rockets then I decided I wanted Toomey T-5's. But I do a little bit of everything except ride in the dunes. I do a little MX at local tracks and drag race with my friends, trails, hill climbing and then the open road on the way to my friends houses and stuff. (I like to go fast so I'm thinking rockets.) I definitly don't have the money for any pipes right now but I want to know what all you guys think I should go with. And if you can, answer these questions.

1. Do rockets burn your legs at all & do you have to keep your legs far from the pipes or can you still have them like with stock pipes?

2. How much louder are rockets than stock pipes?

3. How much low end do you lose when you have rockets?

Thanks dudes.

Does anybody know how much low end you'll lose if you go from stock pipes to rocket pipes?

Just bump your compression and advance the timing and you should maintain pretty close to your stock low end.

i had slow circuits before rockets and lost maybe 10% of my lowend ,but gained atleast 50% in mid to top end power with the rockets, easiest way to describe it ,its like bolting up a set of fmf or toomey and then doing it again . :bolt: had mine 7 months never burnt my legs ,if you are burning your special legs your trying to hump your gas tank or you havent the foggyest idea of how to ride a modded she IMO the power is night and day over the regular commercial pipes everybody and there sisters vibrator uses!

If your used to riding with aftermarket pipes you wont have a problem buring your leg, youll probably get burned once or twice but like anything else youll learn to work around them,as i hear power gains are really good, lots of mid and top and im sure if theres ever a tough spot on a trail 1st gear will still get you up and over it, O and get a NOSS head with some smaller domes..

exactly what everyone said, youll probably loose about 10% of you bottom end from stock, but if you get your head modded for like $60, you actaully gain bottom end from stock with the pipes.

Burnt legs? I have had a few quick reactions before, but only because I wasnt paying attention!

trails - I use my stroker bike for trails, and I noticed that I just had to do a little more clutching in the trails than the pro circuits I had before.

hope this helps!

if you dont mind a 2 week wait before I ship the pipes, get the Rockets! You wont be sorry
