cjm02ram Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Im looking to send my transmision out to get override...whats the easiest/best way to get the gears and all goodies out of th ecase? Thanks Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Best bet get a Clymers manual and do what it says. If you can read a little and look at pictures you're set. Quote
ssanddemon Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Yank the motor, pull the jugs off, then the upper case. The crank and trans sits in the botom case, easy as pie. Quote
locogato11283 Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 like ssandemon said. pull the cylinders off first. then youll have to take apart your clutch setup and take the basket off. your flywheel and stator plate must come off as well. eventually youll be able to split the cases. i would really recommend getting a clymers for your first time. i have done mine so many times i just throw all the nuts and bolts in a bag until im ready to put it back together. its not nearly as hard as you would think.
