Sonunds to me like your rich on the mains. If you had 330 mains in and the plugs were dark and wet then wtih an increase in temperature then you shoul be going smaller on the mains to supply less fuel.(Cold air is more dense)What change in temperature have you had?

I'm going to try smaller mains today, only thing is 310's are the smallest I got here, but we'll see if it helps. also, I don't think its a crank seal because it idles half ass, doesn't rev crazy, and the plugs aren't white hot. the plugs are wet. the shit comming out of the pipes is like half ass burned gas oil mix.

If you have oil coming out of your silencers and it smells like burnt oil then you have a blown crank seal. I just did that job on my 99 at the end of last season and it sounds like your problem.

Are you making sure that needle holding plate is going back on the right way round every time you make a change. .... The breather hole needs to be uncovered.

And also your connecting hose between the two carbs. (This one I'm sure you're doing).

Have you tried a 27.5 pilot or has it been a 30 throughout all your changes?

Rare.

Yea, all thats good. I came across this thread:

His stator went bad, and I believe this is my problem, all the symptoms are the same.

Well, it very well could be your stator. But there's only a couple ways to tell, check it with an OHM meter or buy a new stator & try it. An OHM meter would be the cheaper route at 1st. If you don't have one, any parts store oughta be able to hook you up, perhaps your local stealer would be willing to check it for you. I don't know the specs off the top of my head, but your bible(aka clymers manual) has the specs that it should check out to. And if the stator is bad, I would suggest Ricky Stator, mine's lasted longer than the 2 previous OEM stators I had put together. Another thing that may be worth checking is the plug cap connections, may unscrew them, clip the wires back a 1/4-1/2 inch & rescrew them on the assure a good connection. Good luck....let us know what you do/find out.

Ok, I ordered a adjustable timing plate before these problems started acting up. If that is the problem the advanced timing will spark that octane correct? How far should I advance? I truely think I have a jetting problem.
