anyone runing a GM with a 4.3L

well guys, got me another truck, 1993 gmc 1500 2wd with a 4.3, put ia glass pack on it but its still pretty quite, if i took the cat. off and put another glasspack in its place how would it sound?

i have a 94 c1500 2wd chevy witha vortec 4.3 v-6 ,i run a dual stainless aftermarket race exhaust from the catayltic converter on back to the end ,it sounds really mean. everyone swears its a 5.7

4.3 is a v6? never heard a loud one of them but good luck

 

I ran straight pipe on my 350 with a homemade muffler, friend welded a box together and made it a 2 chamger. It sounded cheap and loud but when you punched it watch out sounded like a derby car.

my younger brother had an s-10 blazer and when it had the stock exhaust he couldn't get the bitch to powerbrake. Then he installs a 40-series Flowmaster (classic, not delta flow)and "donkey dicks" it and then that mutherfucker woke up and would light em up when he powerbraked it. And it sounded mean.

ive got a 94 Z-28 that i cleared out the cat and added a SLP Loudmonth Exhaust. sounds like a truck when i start up, but i can be heard at least 4 blocks away. ive got a DTP to prove it

got it on today, put an old cherry bomb in place of the converter, then ran striaght pipe out before the tire, sounds like a pissed off weed eater, iam really frustrated i wasted my time and money with it so tomorrow iam putting it back to together some how. POS v-6's

I had the same truck when I was younger, except it had a bowtie... I ended up running a pipe thru the cat. and runnin a single 40 series flow (2 chamber) It sounded decent, but was still VERY obvious that it was a 6 cyl. After lots of tuning and motor work, and a whole lot of rear gear I finally got it to run with the same style truck with v-8's. Even managed to outrun a few thats werent modded to much.

 

But i must say the damn thing had a long, abused life, and took everything I gave it (got the truck at 16). Still a lil under powered and couldnt pull much, but all in all still my favorite truck.
