1800bigk Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 (edited) Who has them that rides trails? Edited March 15, 2005 by 1800bigk Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 I have the big cheetah and I dont drag race, in fact there isnt even a place to drag race atv in Ohio that I know of. I ride mine all the time with my buddies on trails and what not, it has so much low end that it makes them perfect for trail riding. They are not peaky at all like people make them out to be. They only go as fast as your thumb makes them. I mean c'mon, they have as much low end as a brand new yfz and the top end pull of a dragster. Not many stock cylinders can do that because you will lose one or the other. 339721 But don Quote

PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Not many people have them because there so new, I haven't met anyone who rides a banshee that isn't into power. They also happen to be a very affordable option that all your parts bolt right up to. 339722 I Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 get new tires 339732 They are on order, it Quote

1800bigk Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 (edited) not even a 35hp banshee has good traction, trying to get perfect traction on any banshee is not easy. Wheel spin is something you will have to live with. unless you get a four stroke, now they have some traction. at least the ones ive rode. Edited March 15, 2005 by 1800bigk Quote
minishee Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 i will have my cub in about a month and all i do is trailride....i figured for the money it was the only way to go and if it doesn't work on trails then i guess i will start drag racing Quote

I want to read the review so make sure you post it. The best way to eliminate spin that I've found is to use a big front sprocket. What kind of gearing are you running 1800bigK? Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Here is something to think about, who are the people saying that the cubs are no good for trail riding? What do they make a living doing? If everyone knew how good the cubs were for daily riding, then who would spend 500+ for a port job on stock cylinders when 875 will get them a cub that will waste stock cylinders. can you see where Im going with this yet? 339726 I didn't see this part of your post, I hear ya but my $200 port seriously hauls ass now, it's the torquiest banshee I've ever been on, smooth from idle on up. minishee Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 everyone i have talked to says with a 4 mil you can gear enough to reduce wheelspin, so i figured i wanted more and i am willing to take the risk. i hope it turns out as good as everyone is making the cubs out to be. Quote
