  1. 2003 red and black banshee and I am the original owner. I had Dan at patriot racing build the motor. Its a 421 cheetah cub setup to run on race fuel. The basics it's a 4mm long rod stroker crank, cool head, 35mm PWK's with kn pods, adjustable stator plate, he put a new clutch in and it has cpi inframe pipes. I had him build it for me to start drag racing and it never happened. The bike has not even 30 gallons of fuel through it since the build. I have my receipt from the build and I have pictures but can't get them to post here for some reason. I am located in PA and would like to do a face to face sale. Asking $3500 Best way to get ahold of me is [email protected]
  2. i fixed one once well actually paid to have it done and within one ride it was back to being bent. after you bend it once and try to fix it you weaken it. chances are it will eventually bend again if you fix it. i was told it is becuase they are heat treated and they have to reheat it to bend them back. just my .02 and some personal experience. i wasted 40 bucks on it and still had to buy a new axle. mini
  3. i may be worng about this, but i thought the reason most people ported when they go with a 4 mil is to raise the hight of the ports. this is where the power comes from when you add a 4 mil? if you add a 4 mil to jugs that are ported to run on a stock crank wouldn't you actually loose power due to the longer stroke of the new crank? I may be completely wrong but i thought this was the way it worked?
  4. i kept messing around with all the wires and apparently something was loose but all the sudden i have spark. so i was very happy. i got it running and adjusted the idle and it doesn't seem to bog or anything when i rev it. i haven't adjusted teh air screws or anything but the pilot doesn't seem to be too large. i am going to keep trying to get ahold of dan and see what he says about it, but thx for all of the help, i'm sure i will need more when i can go out and do a plug chop. mini
  5. i have checked and changed plug many times..i am using new plugs and still have no spark at all...i have looked over every connection and can't find anything wrong
  6. i have checked all the connections and my cdi and coil both work on another basnhee but it still wont work on mine. i haven;t got ahold of dan yet but hopefully soon i will and he can help me out and explain the pilots.
  7. i wasn't as much worried about the main as i am the pilot. i haven't ever really messed with pilot or airscrew so i don;t know how to tell if it is right or not. i can't beleive he would have that jetting in there if it wasn't close but i looked at the pilots and they seem huge. i don't know if its way to big or not and right now i don;t have spark. i got the motor in and on the 3rd kick it stumbled like it wanted to start and then i pulled plugs and it would spark every 3rd kick or so, and now i have no spark at all. i don;t know if it is something dan did when he had it all apart or what, but when i pulled the motor everything worked fine and now i have no spark. so i need to figure out why i dont; have spark first then work on the jetting, but how can i tell if the pilot is right or not?
  8. i had dan from patriot do me a set of cub cylinders. i have a 4 mil long rod with v force reeds and cool head running on race fuel. i haven't got it all together yet and running but i took apart the carbs to make sure everything was the same and he has 78 pilots in them. isn't that a little high? the mains are 150. these are 35 mm keihn carbs. i haven't got it running yet but i waondered if anyone else thought that pilot size was a little large. any help would be great mini
  9. i'm from Dubois 15801. i guess its not that close but yea i will be looking into draggen so if your going some where maybe we could meet up.
  10. i deffinately would liek to meet up... i m interested in watching at first i want to see what all its abotu. but i think it would be alot of fun. where are you from?
  11. same here. my tors died after about 2 months. i got rid of it and havn't had a problem ever since. mini
  12. what type of surface does this work best on?
  13. i am looking for anything close to central pa. i want to get into drag racing on dirt a little bit. not all out bt i think it would be fun to do, so does anyone know of any drag strips in pa? also i am looking for any advice on tires. i have heard alot about 4 snow tires but i want a tire that i can take on trails from time to time along with hillclimb. does anyone have any advise on tires that work for hard pack almost like clay or fairly loose hillclimbs. thx guys. mini
  14. i sit way to far forward aslo. i keep trying to lean the bars back some to break the habbit but i still find myself doing it. mini
  15. i ride in dirt and was told by a few people that it would be a bad idea to lighten my flywheel becuase it will create more wheelspin. i dunno if that is true or not just what i have been told? mini
  16. it will break? as in what part breaks?
  17. how often do you guys change it and any specific brand better than another?
  18. everyone i have talked to says with a 4 mil you can gear enough to reduce wheelspin, so i figured i wanted more and i am willing to take the risk. i hope it turns out as good as everyone is making the cubs out to be.
  19. i will have my cub in about a month and all i do is trailride....i figured for the money it was the only way to go and if it doesn't work on trails then i guess i will start drag racing
  20. anyone else run atf oil?
  21. i found advanced auto parts brand, and vavoline FA. the FA says use where type f is required?
  22. i have been looking into buying some atf type F oil to run, but i don;t know what brand to use. the only kind i can find is advanced auto brand wich seems pretty cheap. i found type FA but i don;t know if its the same. this stuff seems very thin, almost liek water so if anyone has any advice or coments let me know thx mini
  23. i thought c 12 was a leaded fuel?
  24. yes, thx a ton, thats exactly what i wanted to know. i just didn;t want to buy a drum and have it go bad if i don;t use it all this summer. so i think i will buy one and keep it sealed as much as i can and only put as much as i can use into jugs. Everythign in the drum should last fine untill i get it all burnt up. i was mainly worried about it lasting over the winter if i can;t use it all, but it will be inside of a heated garage so i think i will be ok. thx everyone
