Duninshee Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I just bought a set of 28mm PWK's and my old K&N clamp-on's don't fit. I would like to know if there is a place to get them fairly cheap. I bought my last pair form Rockymountainatv.com for $60 but they don't offer it in the size I need. Any ideas? I ride 90% sand so would the K&N's be the better choice or would the foam uni-filters be better? Thanks for the help. Quote
JKJK Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 K+N part#rb0510 for the angled ones if it's a kein 28.K+K atv might be able to get them for you if your not in a hurry, for about 100.00 Quote
SuperChris Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 A little cool trick is to get yourself a pan of boiling water about three inches deep and soak the rubber in them for about five minutes. It will soften up enough to let them slip right on those 28's. Once they cool, they will retain their new shape. Good luck! Quote

RBD Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I would like to know if that will really work, let us know. Quote
Duninshee Posted February 25, 2005 Author Report Posted February 25, 2005 Thanks a ton. I put the filters in the boiling water for about 5 min and they sliped right over the carbs. I let them cool for about 15 min and took them off and they held the shape as if they were the right filters for the carbs. It worked like a charm. Saved me about $65. Thanks Again SuperChris Quote
SuperChris Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 No problem dude. There may be a problem I have sooner or later that you can tell me how to fix. I believe that's what these boards are for. I have picked up quite a few little tricks in all the years I have been riding. Quote
