  1. I'm running .1 over right now with no problems whatsoever. I did have to recut my domes.
  2. Sorry I haven't got a picture up here for you, I will have another chance to go home this weekend(wednesday), I'll try then.
  3. Shit dude, I'm sorry for not being more clear about it. Take the carbs off. I use stock boots. You don't need aftermarket boots until you get into much bigger carbs. Keep the crossover tube or boost bottle on. There is a chance I'll get to take a picture maybee tomorrow. I have to drive 200 miles to get to my Banshee and tester, but it would be a good excuse to go home for a couple days.
  4. Yep, I broke my Scaphoid a few years back on an IT400 I had just rebuilt. Long story, came back after riding by my myself with my shirt torn almost off, and grass sticking out of the exhaust pipe. The guys all laphed at me untill one of them noticed my wrist swelling up. He talked me into going to the doctor because he broke his scaphoid, let it sit for 2 weeks before going in and now he can't use it. I drove into urgent care and ended up in a cast for SIX months. When they say that is a slow healer, they aren't joking.
  5. Here's my recipe. Get one of those blood pressure checker kits from Bi-Mart or wherever(If you have a medical supply place near you just get the bulb and some surgical tubing). Get couple of rubber soft plugs from the local hardware shop(ask for them, they will know what you are talking about) and a 0-15 psi guage. You will need 2 soft plugs for the intakes, and 2 for the exhaust. Get a fitting that will allow you to make a T out of your surgical tubing, and get a fitting that will allow you to attatch one end of the tubing to your new guage. Take the ceramic off of one of your old spark plugs and stretch a piece of surgical tubing around it with the other end attatched to the bulb at a good distance(foot and a half is what I used). Put all your soft plugs in and screw a good spark plug in one side and your makeshift pressure checker in the other side. Find a good place to cut the tubing now and put in your T and guage. That's it. Pump it up untill the guage reads 6 psi and see if it holds. If not, spray soapy water around all the gasket areas and wherever it bubbles it is leaking. I have checked a lot of good running motors and every one of them so far has had leaks.
  6. 3/8 by 4 inch extension and my 10MM socket work great to puch the pin right out. If it's stuck, there is something wrong.
  7. First off, if you had your motor apart to put in new pistons, you need to leak check it. Intake gaskets are prone to leaking. An air leak will make tuning impossible and in worst cases ruin your new pistons. If you have a tight motor, then it's lean. I'm at 168's on my 28MM PWK's. Runs awesome.
  8. Mine just used one bolt longer than stock, you'll see wich one when you get to them, it's a cheap part at the hardware store. So are the u bolts and nuts/washers needed to secure the front. Just get some u bolts(2) built for the diameter of your frame and you're done. They are pretty self explanitory once you get them fitted. They may take a bit of smacking around, mine did.
  9. We have done quite a lot of welding chromoly with a MIG and it works great. We make nerf bars and weld up cracks in frames and cages for my 250 Outalw Kage Kart all the time with no problems.
  10. That would have been cheaper for me in the long run after replacing all the A arms and shocks I bent before figuring out I needed so many gussets.
  11. Do you bend your J arms? I only did the conversion because I kept bending J arms. If you do it, it's gonna add some weight, cost a bunch of money, and handle the same. If you do, be sure to make a bunch of gussets and weld them on good. Mine came apart and ruined a new set of shocks.
  12. You can get a radiator comb for it. It's pretty much just a comb like you'd youse for your hair, only made for radiator fins. Call a rad. shop.
  13. I had the same problem untill I built a pressure tester. Found that the whole motor was a leak. Fixed it and now the bike is totally different.
  14. No problem dude. There may be a problem I have sooner or later that you can tell me how to fix. I believe that's what these boards are for. I have picked up quite a few little tricks in all the years I have been riding.
