locogato11283 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 33mm pwk or 35mm pwk. little more top end with the 35. both good carbs and easy to work on. Quote

Banchetta Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Will 37's work? Found some for sale just trying to get an idea. 328643 might not fit with the clutch lever under the carbs.... Quote
01bansheefox Posted February 24, 2005 Author Report Posted February 24, 2005 THen what do people do that have all the way up to 40's? Quote
rocketboy Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 (edited) i have a ported she and this and that(see sig) and i run 30 mm pwk d slides. i love these carbs ,they suck to dial in, but they provide awesome response and you will gain lots of grunt and plenty of topend over stock ,ive thought about 33 pwks, but ive read to many dynos were a guy loses hp throughout entire powerband by going to big of a carb . i noticed a huge increrase through entire rpm with my 30mm pwk and id recommend that unless youve got a stroker than go for a 33 pwk or 35mm airstrykers thats my .02 anyway Edited February 24, 2005 by rocketboy Quote
Banchetta Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 THen what do people do that have all the way up to 40's? 328773 If you need that big of a carb, then most likely your running a t-rex or cheetah cylinders which are higher intakes then stock so the larger carbs clear the clutch lever...larger carbs aren't always better unless you can flow some air. They benefit the strokers, but porting alone will vary on what size carb you'll need and are the last mod you should do to gain power..minimal gains for the price. Quote
01bansheefox Posted February 25, 2005 Author Report Posted February 25, 2005 Hmm well i got 1 person saying 30, and 2 others saying 33 and 35. Quote
Big Blue Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 im running 30's on my motor and i like them. Quote
Yaxy Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 Do you plan on running the aribox? If yes you may want to think about using a 30mm or smaler carb. Through my experience with running 34 Mikunis and the airbox it was the biggest pain in the ass to take the carb off which usially involved taking the rear plasitc off, the silencers and slidiing the air box off which was no where near as a pain as trying to put the airbox back on. I feel I gained more from my 28 FS then my 34 mm round slides on a ported motor used for fast trails and sand pits. Plus you can get 28 FS milunis new for under $200.00. I will definately run 28 Fs on my RZ and next banshee, no doubt. But may consider 30mm, I wil have to talk to Dan on that. Chris Quote
