take the slides out of the carbs. get some scotch brite pad. clean bores out and the slides really good, the bottom edge of the slide really good. clean teh carb with cleaner. put together and see if that helps

Sometimes the slides get some 2 stroke oil gummy sludge build up on them that makes them a bit sticky. Clean them with carb cleaner, it also leaves a very lightweight solvant like oil film behind that helps them slide easy.

Usually carb slide will only stick if they get dirty (sand it the worst). Any carb that uses a slide is vulnerable to sticking if dirt or sand gets in there.

thanks ill try that this weekend.

but i noticed it when i was adjusting the idle that when they started to stick so then i could not adjust the idle.

 

also what is a good carb thats not going to break my bank?

One word: Throttlecable! Well, at least that was the problem with mine. Cable lubed the bejeezus out of it, no more sticking.

Before i got my 30mms my stock carbs used to stick like crazy when the quad was cold, there were small cracks that i think were makin them stick, combined with the premix, i switched over to amsoil and sprayed carb cleaner in there and it helped alot
