kw04 Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 is it just the stock carbs that stick. if that is so what is the better type of carbs to get that dont really stick? thanks Quote
wesw Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 take the slides out of the carbs. get some scotch brite pad. clean bores out and the slides really good, the bottom edge of the slide really good. clean teh carb with cleaner. put together and see if that helps did for me Quote
Ducman Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 Sometimes the slides get some 2 stroke oil gummy sludge build up on them that makes them a bit sticky. Clean them with carb cleaner, it also leaves a very lightweight solvant like oil film behind that helps them slide easy. Quote
RBD Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 kw04, Usually carb slide will only stick if they get dirty (sand it the worst). Any carb that uses a slide is vulnerable to sticking if dirt or sand gets in there. Quote
