MIABanshee Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 When I hit the powerband or dump the clutch in first gear the chain will make a bad grinding noise with the rear sprocket for a second. I checked to make sure everything was tight... axle nut and chain are both tight. Sprockets and chain are all new.. splines are all tight. I still cant seem to find the problem of why it is griniding . Quote
RNBRAD Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 Chain and sprockets still in good shape? Rear bearings ok? Quote
badcompany Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 If your suspension is soft or something the chain might be getting loose when you take off when the swingarm goes past parallel. Just a thought. Quote
Holyman Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 Pull the axle and make sure your sprocket hub and wheel splines are good. If the chain isn't skipping, that has to be it. Quote
