WAKEBOARDDAVE1 Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 (edited) JUST TRYING TO DECIDE WHAT DOMES TO USE MY BIKE IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING BEEFED UP I HAVE THE CHOICE OF 19 OR 17 SIZE DOMES 19 USE GAS 17 USE RACE FUEL WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF RACE FUEL BESIDES MORE POWER AND PUTTING A BIG DENT IN MY BACK POCKET. bkabina Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 Race fuel doesn't give you more power it stops detonation.The power gain would be in running the 17cc domes,because of higher compression. As for shelf life,how long you plan on letting it set!You shouldn't have any problems. Quote

The dealer sells the Sunoco 114 octane @ $5.50 gallon. I can also get VP c12 108 octane @$5.25 gallon. Can I mix that with 93 pump gas? That should put me at around 100-105 octane. Thanks 312011[/snapback] i have been toldthat you have to run half n half with 19cc domes anyone know if thats true? im runing half n half with 20cc domes now but i was told that they were the smallest size you can run straight pump gas with? Ducman Posted January 29, 2005 Report Posted January 29, 2005 If you have also added timing, I would go 1/2 & 1/2 with 20cc domes (approx 100 octane) and probably straight 104-110 with 19cc domes. If no added timing then probably 93 pump gas or 1/2&1/2 with 19cc domes would do. I personally always ran 100 octane with 20cc domes just to be safe. Quote
