I know this is not a drag racing question but it seems like most people with cheetahs do drag them so I am posting in the drag forum to get the most feed back.

I Just a ordered a cheetah +4mm and was wondering about cpi big bore inframes and the carbs. Someone told me there may be a fitting issue. He said those pipes may hit the carbs. Said I needed out frames. I know out frames yield the most power but, I still ride with my buddies on backroads and trails and I dont want to be running around like a mad man drag racer with big pipes shooting out the side of my shee.

the carbs are 35 pwk

My CPI inframes fit fine with the cheetah cylinders. They do rub on the filters though but I just wrapped the stinger part of the pipe back by the filters with header wrap and I could still run outerwears.

Shit man I'm thinking about the exact same ssetup for my shee. Let me know how you make out! I think the 472 with CPI's would be killer.

Definately, I will post any questions and any dyno numbers that I get.

I run inframe Shearer pipes on my 10mm cheetah drag bike. w/ 39mm carbs. and the stingers only hit the left side carb just a tiny bit on the carb. top. The pipes make awesome power but they like very agressively ported motors.

I talked to cpi and they said the small bores are good to 440cc, the kit I bought is 472.

Can the rockets flow enough for 472cc

i dont know if they were meant for that big of an engine or not. sure seems like they would. perhaps minkia38 could set you up with a set to try out.

The guy that runs the local dyno builds them and he said he gets close to 90-100 out of them.
