ngelati
Sorry may be Im not in the correct forum.. I have the chance of buying another quad. It is a 1992 Suzuki LT250.. (I only know about banshees...) Is it a good Mx Quad..? What about power, suspension, weight? Any kind of spec will be highly appreciated. banshee tuner
Not a hole lot of power but a decent bike if it was taken care of. I've seen some that would not stay running and some that were ten years old and give no problems because they were taken care of. Give that thing a good test drive and see how it feels. ngelati
Thanks for the info!! any pics?
BenBB
Ngelati there's a buncha LT250R pics here: http://www.quadracer.com As banshee tuner said, they don't have the top end power as a Banshee but make up for it with more bottom end and torque, so may be better suited to an MX track (alot will depend on the rider). Compared to a Honda 250R the LT doesn't have quite as good front suspension, and the chain adjustment is as bad or worse than the Banshee's. The early LT's had motor probs ('85 and '85) but the later years were better, BTW '92 was the last year they were produced here in the US. Anyway, if it's a good deal I'd check it out and see how it looks.

sredish
I'd give my left nut for another quadracer. Plus, I think they look good as hell.
slowpokebanshee
that motor has a power valve doesn't it? if so good power for MX
sredish
that motor is not powervalved. I don't really remember the chain adjustment being as bad as my banshee's. Loosen a few bolts up and then rotate the cam and walla, but it's been awhile so I could've forgotten. I think it would be a fun XC machine. I'd like to have one again and use it for that. sheestofast
The Newer models were powervalved i believe and not a bad bike for mx the only complaint I have ever heard about the lt for mx racing in the poor handling. I had a chance to buy one a while ago and passed it up

ngelati
Yes, they were powervalved motors
BenBB
There's a little more about LT's at www.macdizzy.com, try this link: http://www.macdizzy.com/lt250.htm And BTW sredish, I don't know for sure how the LT's powervalves work, but a battery isn't a necessity, just look at the vacuum-operated valves on aftermarket (like Cheetah, T-Rex, etc.) Banshee jugs...
