bansheefreestyler Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 hey guys. will it be super hard to build a bumper because im thinking of building one so i dont have to spened cash on one when i can buy something else.ill be making plans and then ill post em up and such. Quote
chris642 Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 everything is easy with the right tools. im sure it wont be very good looking unless you really take time to make it perfectly symetrical. i like the style of the AC bumper and i know it would be hard as hell for me to make one, you need a pipe bender or if you have a homemade method, whatever, and a good welder to make welds that are not hideous. im not good enough at either of these to make one that i would actually put on my bike, maybe for practice i owuld make one. whatever floats your boat Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 check ebay. prolly a cheap bumper there. Quote

bansheefreestyler Posted January 17, 2005 Author Report Posted January 17, 2005 k guys here is my plan. it will prolly be all 1 inch tubing. the piks is just as quick one and a guy i know is a real good welder and also has a pip bender http://tinypic.com/view.html?pic=19tflz tell me what you think Quote
SICK BOY Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 (edited) First thing first is do you have any welding skills??You'll still have to buy stock and welding rod or wire so the bumper won't be free.I'd just buy that DG one Sparkzilla was going to sell you for $40.00. SICK BOY Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 (edited) You must of beat me with your post about your buddy welding it for you. With all your sponsers why don't you just have one of them give you a bumper. Edited January 17, 2005 by SICK BOY Quote

04ShEeLE Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 i just have one question. Did you used to get beat up at school for licking the windows on the bus? Quote
bansheefreestyler Posted January 17, 2005 Author Report Posted January 17, 2005 ya man i always get beat up. NOT and the reason i come on these forums is for advice and such. if it wasnt for all of you guys i woudlnt know half as much as i do now. Quote
chris642 Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 (edited) Thats scary! 307835[/snapback] those must be the worst plans ever. at least make some straight curves! that looks exactly like the DG bumper if a number plate was screwed into the middle. just buy one and paint it or polish it. you can make a number plate screw onto anything. with your skills, i think you would be better off making a necklace to hang it from.
