tats4life Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 i'm running dan's full mx port....my bike is a total monster...from idle all the way up. I'm not familiar with eric gorr...but seems like everybody likes it. Dan is extremely busy....so you have to have patients....he's in his busy season out west. Quote

Thanks! 292637 pulls really hard from bottom to top. can easily handle pulling high gearing. its only like 200 bucks. eric is a good guy to deal with, he answers the phone. his turnaround time is like 3 weeks right now i think. www.eric-gorr.com get his number and give him a call. there is no info on his site about banshee cylinders but he does do them. just call and ask. Thanks in advance for your replys. 292391 i have ran his portin for a yr now... he didnt set my port timin up correctly the 1st time... but after that was corrected it runs great from bottom thru top... can not tell u the gains over a local porter that did mine cause i went to a 4mm stroker... i have dyno'd it and has the same power curve that passion racing has... i have a different set of passion (along with sum1 elses triple exhaust) cylinders that i got from loco that will be dyno'd this weekend Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 13, 2004 Report Posted December 13, 2004 tight there should be a lot of dyno sheets this weekend then because me and my bro are having our shit dynoed. his is a gorr woods port and mine is a local builder. itll be cool to compare them all. Quote

Dakota02 Posted December 15, 2004 Author Report Posted December 15, 2004 Thanks for all the replys. I think i'm gonna look more into eric gorrs woods port because that will be awesome for my type of riding and i will save a hell of a lot of money. Quote
oldturtle Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 I have Patriot Hot Trail Spec Porting, Patriot full head mods with squish and dome for pump premium, and FMF Gnarlys and TC2s. Then while waiting for top end to be returned, I bought Trinity racing single 35 mm carb set-up. Dan's advice was that the single 35 with his top end work would be OK but he said the twin stockers would be better. With the single 35 the pull down low before the power band hit is stronger than stock, the hit occurs sooner than stock, it seems as though the power signs off sooner than with stock top end and carbs. Other tuners including Adrenaline Powersports have advised that the twin stockers would also pull harder and longer than the single 35. So I think my next experiment will be to go back to twin stock carbs and maybe then to try the FMF Fattys. Patriot Racings Dan really knows 2 strokes. He does a lot of Banshee and 250R work plus 2-stroke sleds. He does his own work, no apprentices in training there. Quote
