jaysea1 Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Ok fellas, I did some searching on this subject, but I felt inclined to ask again anyways...I will be running a +4 Janssen swingarm , with 13/41 gearing. I know I will need new sprockets w/ new chain. How many links will I need to take off of the 520/120 DID(non O-ring) chain? Does this chain have the master link w/removable clip? Anyone with info? banshee76179 Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 (edited) If u bought it new it should come w/master link.. I always measure first, then cut..just me though... Edited November 28, 2004 by banshee76179 Quote
dynabanshee Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 I think you take 4 off, but always measure, don't just cut. When you measure but you chain/carrier adjustment in the middle position. Quote
RNBRAD Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Yea I think I took off 4 to 5 links and the master link clip is a pain in the ass to get on. Quote
RNBRAD Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Also, I think you can use your stock brake line but if you go aftermarket get a +2'' line cause the +4" is just too long. Quote
jaysea1 Posted November 29, 2004 Author Report Posted November 29, 2004 Thanks for the replies...Thanks RNBrad, I know you're running the same swingarm. Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 A 13 front is kind of small. 14-44 would be almost the same ratio and would put less stress on your chain and sprockets. Quote
