I was in Dumont this weekend and let my buddy ride my shee and the engine just stoped. I could start it and it would idle for a bit then die but the sound it made was like something locked up (thunk sound). It still starts eveytime I kick it over but for only a few seconds before it stops again. I checked the oil and it has some metal flakes in it :( so obviously something is broken. I have never worked on 2 strokes before and was wondering if it's possible to have spun a main bearing? Just wondering if anyone has experience this what it could be and If Im going to have to rebuild the bottom end what mods / upgrades would you do. Any help would be appreciated.....

you need to take the top end off and inspect it for damage, before you tear it up any further

do this and then report back

btw 2 strokes are possibly the easiest thing you could ever work on, no timing chains or cams . once you take it apart its nothing
