XfiveGEE Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 Tried to fit the stock YFZ fronts on the Shee today, but it does not fit. Is their a trick into doing this? I've seen a few shee's w/ it on theirs. Please help me out. Quote

locogato11283 Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 grind on the shock. at the top you can clearly see that the shock will not go all the way into where the shock mount is on the frame. grind on each side that it will slide up in there. on the bottom of the shock youll grind on the side in towards the frame so that the shock ont hit on the lower back piece of the shock mount. its really pretty easy just look at it and see why it wont fit. also you may have to undo the lower a arm from the spindle to get yours bolted to the lower a arm. then put a jack stand under the lower a arm so that when you let the banshee down it compresses the spring some so you can bolt the bottom a arm back to the spindle. With those a-arms it doesnt look like you'll have to grind the bottom of the YFZ450 shock but you will have to on the top. Once you have the stock one removed and have the bottom half of the 450 shock in place, you will see exactly what has to be ground off the top. Quote
