exodus125 Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 i finalyl got the push rod and ball out that had welded shut. I heard u can heat up the ball an rod an change the temper of the metal, but does anyone know of a website that i can order something better than stock so that this doesnt happen again,,,i dont really feel like fiddling with a torch an all that,,,, Quote
jinx44 Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Ohton Racing offers the best one I have seen. Only problem is getting him to send you one. I ordered on 3 times from him and he never sent it. Everytime he just wants to send it then you pay for it so its not like he took my money and didn't send the part. I have one from Grand River Racing. I don't like it as much because you must grind the rod down to adjust your clutch. The Ohton one has an adjustment like stock. The only problem is getting GRR to send you the parts you order. Everything I have ordered from him has taken WAY too long to get. It took a month to get my pipes, 3 weeks to get my swingarm, 3 weeks to get my first strut, and I ordered another strut from him over a month ago and still haven't got it. NYUK runs GRR parts, so he might be able to get you one quicker but in my opinion Andy has very poor customer service. You'll need a new pushrod and ball for either kit if yours is messed up. Quote
NYUK Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 my opinion Andy has very poor customer service no way, he was voted buisnessman of the year by the saranac better buisness bureau. call around i am sure other builders sell the pancake bearing set up. jinx, i waited a year for a frame, 6 months for a motor. but everything i got from andy was well worth the wait. brock_fuzzy_69 Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 both are a replacement setup that has a thrust beaing on it instead of relying on that flimsy ball setup i got a bearing setup from grand river racing packard racing also sells them Quote
SDD Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Check out KD cycle in Yuma, AZ. They sell the pancake bearing assembly which is adjustable with an open end wrench and an allen key. I believe their website is www.kdcycle.com about the same prices as other shops. Quote
