ok...here is what I have in mind. Let me know what you all think before I start.

 

I cut my airbox so that my K&N filter will have more airflow. Everything from the filter to the reeds are stock. My front part of the air box is like a plate now holding my K&N with a K&N Pro Flow adapter. Looks pretty solid! In my signature I'm jetted 260 at an elavation of 1042 ft. Before I start my Shee I want to get the jetting close to right to avoid a problem. I've heard alot of people say that if you run too lean it can also cause overheating so also I'll mention that I still have the stock radiator on my bike.

Dude that is a sweet set up. I did the same myself. It feeds your motor the same amount of air as clamp-ons do, but without the hassle of burnt outerwares from the pipes. I went up from a 300 main (lid removed) to a 330 main (air box cut off). I hope youre riding in dry terrain because this set up will screw you in wet shit. Your filters will require some more attention now, I clean my filter and outerware every night when we're out at the dunes. Youre going to want to go up on the pilot too. I did 30's, and 2 full turns on the air screw. Hope this helps......it helped me.

There is no way that you can just come up with a jet size that is going to be perfect. Ride it and do a WOT plug test. Its not going to hurt if you are a little lean when doing a plug test. Thats how you find out what your jetting needs to be. Just go up on the main 1 or 2 sizes and do the plug test. Thats how you are gonna get the jetting you need.
