broke Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 That looks good, similiar to Pyramids. Definately give a review on those. Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 hmm interesting....not sure how well itll work since they are nearly parrallel to the flow Quote
racer Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 i thought about that once before, but never tried it. hope it works for ya though. Quote
SDD Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 The reason those won't work is the sides of the cages are pretty close to the sides of the intake port. If your make shift reed touches the walls of the intake port they will start falling apart rapidly. Good luck dude Quote
siezed-up Posted October 20, 2004 Author Report Posted October 20, 2004 If your make shift reed touches the walls of the intake port they will start falling apart rapidly. There's enough room after I ported my cylinders that they won't touch. I was wondering about the fact that they are flat facing the cylinder though, not sure how well they would seal. I wanted to throw them in, make a couple of passes and pull them to see if there was any wear or blow by. I figured I would post what I did on here first to see how many people would slam me on them. DUNEDEMON Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 There is an interesting post at Planet Sand (dyno section) about reeds / cages, you should take a look. Quote
