  1. I will check them out ,thanks.
  2. Thanks, I found it and didn't have to look very long
  3. I didn't want to take the time to sift through a hundred post to get my answer. Didn't there used to be a jetting calculator that would get you pretty close to your target jetting? I printed a copy of it a couple of years ago and proceeded to lose it like a jackass. O.k. on to my next question I have stock porting FMF pipes PWK 28mm carbs K&N clamp ons 2000 above sea level. If someone has an idea about my initial jetting that would be great, I think I'm at 150 mains and 48 pilot. Not running good. Thanks, Joe
  4. I'm building a 4mil engine with drag porting and was wondering how big of carbs you guys reccomended and what kind. I would like to stay away from alchohol right now. I did a search and didn't want to sift though a hundred posts.
  5. Hi, I guess I'm new to a stock Banshee. I've built a couple with close to 200 psi compression, but I can't find what the minimum compression values should be for a stock shee. I did a search here but I got into way more stuff than expected. I'm running about 120psi on each cyl. If elevation is an issue I'm about 2000ft above sea lev.
  6. Looking for a set of good used and in working order Works front shocks (w/rezzies preffered). Also need a clutch basket with gear still attached.
  7. I live close to Brighton MI, and am looking for a stock or almost stock Banshee.
  8. Hi, Had a few leads and alot of dead ends, but nothing ever panned out. I just would like to thank all of you for the support and all of the posts on other sites. It really is pretty awesome how fast you can get the word out for something you had stolen and think no one else would care about (like most cops, and wives who think your obsessing over a mere toy), but you guys did. I spent alot of time customizing that quad, maybe not to everyones taste, but I did it on a budget that required me to fabricate alot of the parts and mods myself. It really makes you wonder if it's worth all that work just to give it away like that. After I thought I was at a point that I was fine with how fast my quad went and how it looked, it was stolen. I won't spend that much time on something like that again. If I have to I will pay to have the work done and have receipts for it. If you live in Michigan you have to have a policy on your quad or extra coverage added to your home-owners with documentation with what it is worth for it to be covered. Just some info for you if you plan on doing that ( I RECOMMEND IT) have all your receipts, print all Ebay purchases and keep them in a file, have alot of pictures of all mods. Don't just assume your home-owners will cover anything, because it doesn't cover what you think it should. Check with your insurance agent to verify what's covered. Hopefully you guys can benefit from my mistakes, because as easy as it is to say you would just beat, shoot, drag, kick, stab or rape the person who stole your quad, it could still happen when your not looking. Whoever stole it will get thiers eventually, I kind of figure this was probably payback for something I did in my younger days. Joe
  9. Get a alarm system on your garage. They broke in the side door and rolled the overhead door just high enough to get it out, pushed it across the yard and loaded it into a truck. I don't know what else you could do besides sleeping with it or chaining a dog to it.
  10. Starting to get a few leads, these guys have no idea what they stole. There are too many things that stand out on this machine, they would be lucky to get $800 or $900 bucks in parts off of it and maybe a grand whole. I'm offering $1,000.00 for someone to call me and say what location it was FOUND at and what bills they would like there money in. It's that simple. Hopefully these guys come to thier senses and not make this harder than it has to be. So far I've pretty much kept my cool but I'm starting to lose it. If the leads actually pan out ,I may be writing to you guys from jail, just kidding, but not really!!! Joe
  11. I used a generic image hosting site. Is there an site that you guys prefer. It would seem that as soon as I log off the image goes away.
  12. Haven't been on here in a while but I need some help. I live in Pinckney, Michigan, that's close to Brighton and Ann Arbor. My banshee was stolen last night and thought I would try and get the word out, mainly to people who might be going to Silver Lake this weekend. I figure it could show up there in some shape or form. Here's a list of what it had: Black fenders cut into flames(please don't give me any s@#T about using somebody elses idea, I already know) Red tank and radiator covers Alluminum gas cap with a flaming skull impression *The frame has been modified for yfz450 front shocks(taller shock towers)* 6" extended swing arm with a weld on it in the shape of the letter I Polished side case, cylinders, head, calipers and all hoses have braided s.s. lines and red fittings. Polished alluminum axle carrier. That's all that I can think of right now. I will attach a picture, please pay no attention to the shirtless idiot sitting on the four wheeler. Thanks for any help. Joe (734) 550-6017. There will be a no questions asked ***$1,000.00*** reward for its return.
  13. I need a set of front shock springs for a yfz450. Thanks, Joe

    A-arms Needed

I'm looking for a set of stock upper A-arms.
  15. I just did a search on the motor # and it came up with an '85. Thanx for the help. Joe
  16. Congratulaions, It's not often you here of someone getting thier quad back. That story is awesome. My buddy made one payment on his 4X4 when it was stolen and because he said he used it off his property the insurance co.(He just had homeowners on it). won't give him anything. I've been locking my stuff up really well after that.
  17. I have an older KX 80 and can't pin point the year and of course the parts canged almost every year on this bike so it's hard to buy the right part for it if you don't know the exact year. I have the VIN # off it if anyone knows how to read these it would greatly be appreciated. I am building this for my daughters next bike and we are excited to get started on it. VIN # JKAKXWE19FA018048 Thanks, Joe
  18. Looking for a stock set of upper A-Arms and possibly a set of front shocks.
  19. Use a high grit sandpaper for the scratches and spray them with regular floor wax you buy at the store and they will look like new even if they are starting to fade.
  20. Just got mine dialed in perfectly today after the port job( Race Logic temp. and riased exhaust port ), milled head, pipes and K&N pods. If you end up doing this all I have to say is hold on. Oh yeah I live in Michigan and I went to 300 mains and 30 pilots with no adjustments on the screws or needles. Might be different where ever you live. Peace,
  21. Do they really increase the flow over a stock one, and with what mods should you get one ?
  22. What type of air filter are you running? If you didn't have the problem until you did those mods I would verify your jetting is correct first. It seems like your a little small on your mains and probably need to up your pilot jets, but go here to check. Jetting Faqs
