On the shifter, I can make everything but the splined section. I need to get someones old shift shaft and turn it into a broach. I'm not a fan of aluminum splines on steel splines but I'm sure the stock shift shaft isn't heat treated, and is probably made out of some pretty soft stuff to begin with, as is most of Yamaha's steel items.
