Felonious_Monk Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 What kind of boots do you guys wear.........and how did you break them in???? I have heard that most are uncomfortable when they are new. So I was wondering how everyone breaks them in. Later, Monk Quote
ledofthezep Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 (edited) I got some Thor T-30 boots, got them when I got my bike a while back...still not broke in. I haven't worn them on the banshee much since the plastic on the inside melts to my pipes. Edited October 7, 2004 by ledofthezep Quote
347cid Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 alpinestar tech 8's ... they are expensive... but the most comfortable boot that you will ever wear Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 alpinestar tech6. just wore em a bit around the house and then rone em. alpinstars break in nice Quote
Otis Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 I have a pair of Tech 8's, that i've had for about 3 years now, and are still as stiff as the day i got em....Doesn't bother me, i'll take all the support i can get.. Quote
locogato11283 Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 i have thor t30s now. but im moving onto tech 6's next year. i like how they feel around your foot better. Quote
Felonious_Monk Posted October 8, 2004 Author Report Posted October 8, 2004 Anyone know anyone that has the Alpinestars Vector Boot?? I am looking at the tech 8's, and those.......What are the differences??? All I can tell really is that the tech 8's have a little more support....They seem a little more..."plastic", where the vector appears to be a little more flexible....... I guess I just need to try both on and make my own decision..... Later, Monk Quote
tschoeberl Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 I have the Alpinestar Tech 8s and love them. All boots are stiff when you first get them. I have had these for a couple years now and have boughten Tech 6 for the wife and Tech 4s for the kids. Do like my kids did, don't ever take them off. When we are riding, we have to fight the kids to get them off. I believe in a good quality boot after my wife rolled my quad over her and prevented a broken leg from happening. They are worth the money. Quote
badassbilletbanshee Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Tech 8's here! Love them if they are good enough for the best mxer's in the world good enough for me! Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 ive tried the vectors on. they were to loose/soft for my liking maybe better for less aggressive riding Quote
sredish Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Let's talk SIDI. Anyone see the review for the SIDI Vortex Evo in the ATV Sport mag a few issues ago? They look like really good boots and according to the review are great for quad riders due to the way it flexes a tad more for moving around the quad, unlike a bike. I was thinking of trying them, either them or the Tech 6's. Tech 8's are just too much dough for this white boy. Quote
squish Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 I have the vector's. I had the tech 6 boot first. I like the vector better. They are easier to put on and take off. Only two buckles. And one strap. I ride hair scrambles in Florida and it gets muddy here. I dont have a problem with mudd getting in them. Quote
txblueshee Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Fox Trackers= Concrete, and the buckles are fuckin plastic so 1/2 of them have been busted by rocks and shit. If they weren't a gift i'd be gettin my money back . Mike Quote
Travis's Banshee Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Tech 8's here too. Check out the Oct. Dirt Wheels. They had some good things to say about a new boot. Can't remember the name though. Quote
