I was putting the shee back together last night from a 1 over bore and when I was tightening the NEW NOSS head on I realized that I hadnt put any locktite on her. So I backed of the bolts from the head and put just a little on each stud.

BUT!!!!!!!!!

I didnt put any on the base nuts of the cylinders. I was following my clymers and it didnt say to do it....so I forgot. Damn the luck.

Anyone know?

But if thats all that I f-d up on and all goes well from here, that will be cool.

That will suck if I have to check my base nuts all the time. Damn , shit , Damn.

Please have good info for me......

Never used it on the head either. Worst that can happen is the stud will come out when you try to take the head off. If that happens, just put the stud in a vise to get the nut off. If you need to heat it to get it off, don't heat it on the head if possible. Blue isn't super strong like red. Some people use blue on everything. Don't worry about it. Your motor will be just fine.

I don't use loctite on the jug or head bolts. You have to re-torqe your head after the first heat cycle, and you will brake the bond when you do that so there is no need to use it.
