Titanium Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 ^ It involves taking the Top off the carb and chopping the spring...do a search Quote
xt45 Posted September 21, 2004 Author Report Posted September 21, 2004 so we are talk about 2 springs. One in the throttle. The other in the carberotor. So how to deal with each spring. Quote
hops Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 (edited) 1 throttle + 2 carbs = 3 springs Couple options 1. Suck it up and deal with it. 1.5 Lube cable 2. If TORS removed, can remove spring from throttle housing. 3. Buy an extended thumb throttle. 4. Switch to a twist throttle. 5. Have heard of people running a file over the slide springs to weaken them, but would never do it myself. 6. Switch to a single carb setup. 7. Sell your shee real cheap and buy a 4 choke. deathmetal5150 Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 The first day i had my banshee, TORS was removed and the spring was removed, forget that stiff throttle. Everyone else in my riding crew is too lazy to remove there system, so they take a 10 minute time out every couple of laps because they're cramped up, forget that! Quote
xt45 Posted September 21, 2004 Author Report Posted September 21, 2004 Where is the TORS(Throttle OverRide System) located, and where is the spring located. Can't you keep the TORS since it is important to have it and just take out the spring. Can you please elaborate on these stuff. Quote
QuadMX Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 Could try taking off your skirt and putting on some man pants Nah. Lube your cable up good. That's probably the one main thing that's makin it stiff. I'll lube up mine and it'll be like there's nothin there. Same with the clutch, I can pull it like there's no spring being pulled when it's lubed up good. Good luck Quote
