sweetshee4312 Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 I am going to order a new chain offline......but i dont know the lenth or the size of a stock chain....can someone tell me wha it is Quote
bick Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 thats if you run 14 teeth front sprocket, and a 41 on the rear... Quote
racer Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 just pay the little more and order a 120 link chair then cut it to your likings. that way if something happens you wont be out the cost of th chain. Quote
locogato11283 Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 520. i always get a little longer chain than what i need. that way i have some extra pieces. i just use an angle grinder to grind down the pins and pop the link out. Quote
a&sbanshee Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 520 and like was said just buy 120 link chain and cut it to fit cuz u have to figure in gearin sprocket wear and also the chain will stretch a lil as well becuase of it being new. u can run a 525 street bike chain for it has the same pitch and everything as a 520 just a lil heavier chain but that really doesnt make it any stronger unless its a sidewinder Quote
2Smoker Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 And make sure you get one that has a clip on master link! I just picked an XW-ring chain from RK racing last week and the guy at the store swore it was a clip on....I get home 100 dollars and 1 hour drive later, and the goddamn master link was the press fit type (for crotch rockets) I had a 520 master link at my house, but it wouldnt fit in because the xw-ring chain has vinyl bushings inside it. Just some words of caution. Quote
