Banchetta Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 I started this topic only for info, so don't post unless its useful...discussions can go under "sandfest". I started this so everyone doesn't have to read through 7 pages for info. The date has been decided for Sept 17-19th, friday till Sunday and I'll be staying until Monday morning. I'm getting info for the Val du lakes campsites and will post tomorrow as long as they still have openings for reservations. I'll need a head count so I can reserve the amount of sites so we can all stick together to meet each other and hang out together..I'll be driving a pewter ext. cab duramax lettered up w/ a 14' enclosed v-nose trailer lettered up also, so you won't miss me. The lettering will say "Lawn Innovations". I plan on being in Michigan around 6:00pm Friday. I"ll be sleeping in my trailer. Quote
Banchetta Posted September 12, 2004 Author Report Posted September 12, 2004 I called Val du Lakes campground and we don't need any reservations, they just said to show up so we can all meet there. The price is $12/person/per night. There is electricity and water on site. We can purchase ice and firewood there. There are showers and restrooms, and of course the "bar" . I'm shitty at posting maps. If someone could post a map to how to get there, that'd help me out some... Quote
blk02banshee Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 (edited) For anyone who does'nt want to camp, or can't camp for some reason, here's a link to the local motel. They have reasonable rates, and it's very clean and close to the dunes. I'm pretty sure they will have the FALL rates, but don't quote me on that. http://www.silversandsresort.net/motel.html Edited September 12, 2004 by blk02banshee Quote
broke Posted September 13, 2004 Report Posted September 13, 2004 Unless something goes horribly wrong I should be getting to SL around 7:00 Fri. night. I will be in a red ZR2 ext. cab pickup with a small pop-up. broke Quote
mrmatt Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 (edited) Here is a map to Val-Du Lakes campground. The red star indicates the campground location. I have never been there myself, so I am assuming that mapquest and the address that I found on the 'net are correct. If you have been there before and this isn't the correct location, then let us know. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?count...arch=++Search++ Edited September 14, 2004 by mrmatt Quote
