My wife and kids went to an auction today while I was at work and when I got home my 9 year old son bought with his own money a lawn boy push mower. 2 stroke, electric start self propeled push-walk behind mower. $5.00 Yes five bucks... And he even got a craftsman leaf blower that was included. I know this is dumb but its a good time around here when my 9 year old son brings home another 2 stroke!!! I didnt even care that it wasnt a shee...I am a proud father!!!

Yeah he is a good kid. The money he earns is from using my mower to cut grass. I think it is awesome for a child that young to already know that you have to work to get what you want. Most kids are lazy and want everything handed to them.

two cool things about Lawn Boys.....

You CAN mount a tuner pipe on them, I did it back in JR High, but I cant for the life of me remember what I stole it off of (it was 15+ years ago!). I know I had to do some cutting and welding.

Then after its blown to bits from over moding it, the deck is mad of Magnezium and burns really cool on a camp or bon fire!!!

Your son did good, REAL good, you should be proud!

Keep us posted on how the "lawn boy" project turns out. (I bet you mod it up now);)

LOL
