hard cold starting o4 banshee

I just bought my 04 shee and it is hard to start when cold (i do use the choke) like 10-15 kicks, when it is warm, it starts first kick... is that normal? what could cause it? i run 94 octane fuel with klotz oil mixed at 40:1

It should still be under warranty... Take it back to the dealer. No need for you to worry about it.

you cant get a warranty on a yamaha 2 stroke. believe me i tried. hell even the 4 strokes only have the option of i think its a 6 month warranty.

I had the same problem and I had to go up one size on the pilot jet. I'd give that a shot first before tearing too far into it.

Here what i do... shake gas tank up good and turn gas on ...pull choke all the way out and bump the gas a little and kick it and once it starts push the choke in ..that should do it

A suggestion, if your hitting the throttle before you start kicking it, try not to, don't touch the throttle until it fires up. Thats what I do and it starts up on about the 6th kick when it's cold.
