Those still look like a street tire to me.

I have to ride a couple miles of loose gravel to get to the blacktop. That's enough 'dual sporting' for me on this bike.

Hey, maybe you saw this this summer....they had CR-250's n shit racing on both pavement and dirt...the pavement was like a grand prix course with turns and straight aways, then they would break to almost full on MX!!! with doubles and table tops, and the tires they used were nothing like any tire I've ever seen. They called it Super Cross I think...it was cool as hell seeing these bikes on pavement.

I think it was Super Moto or Super Motard, something along those lines. It just didn't look right to me, but I watched it every time it was on. The big bore KTMs were ripping almost everthing up. Those motors would make an intereting swap into a quad.

Those are both great bikes. I looked at them but wanted to sit up a little more. (you know,,,I'm old)

 

supposed to be really great bikes, if i remember correcty it has the same motor as the sv650, i bought a yamaha fz6 a couple of months ago and i already wish i would have bought the fz1 instead. you'll be itching to swictch before long.

It's the same engine as the SV with a different cam profile for better low rpm torque. I'm trying to not think about other bikes yet. I rode the DL1000 and FJR.

I liked the DL1000. The FJR was nice but uncomfortable and pretty spendy. I'm going to try to resist trading up until at least next spring.

Yeah, that I can understand. But then again, im to young to care about comfort... I just wanna go fast.

 

 

No really, most of the sport bikes fit me rather well. I also looked into some cruisers, but they are a little to big for me.
