hemimike Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 Hey guys, I just puchased a banshee in the middle east (only for sand). I was wondering what would be the best pipe for the shee? It will only have air filter and some small mods down the road. I had my mind set on the T6 pipes but I thought I would check before buying. Quote
ledofthezep Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 Depends on what you're looking for in the pipes...depends on your riding style. If you plan on doing mods and want toomey's, go with the T-5's instead of the T6's... Post in the "Jetting/Exhaust" section, or do a search... Quote
MULLET~BOY Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 get shearers or cpi toomey sucks in my oppinion Quote
duecebanshees Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 I would have to agree with ledofthezep on this one. The T5's have worked great for me. And only gotten better with mods. But, thats just my opinion. Quote
decon Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 if your going to be a in the sand, sooner or later your gonna get a mild port on your engine. toomey t5's run real good with mild ports. u can find some people selling em on BansheeHQ for like 250, and u can go buy the little stuff u need, like airbox vents, jet kit, new air filter, etc. Quote
oldbanshee Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 T5's, they work pretty good with motor work. And they won't melt your boots and pants(tuck in decent). If I had it just for dunes, drag racing I'd get rocket pipes or cpi's. I like my t5's though (trail/track riding, some drag racing) Quote
spoolnvr4 Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 my t6's are nuts i bolted them as explained by toomey, using there jets and the bike rips, i rode a banshee a few weeks ago that felt similiar it had t5's, but alot of other work too... Quote
98bonerSTOCKshee Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 t-5's with K/n filter and the air box lid off....Jetz of course. Shee's smokin! I noticed most of mine power gain mid to wide open, I feel it even helped the stock 'shee low end stumble, but I really couldn't tell for sure I seem to never have her on the low side.. I still haven't grown use to the power upgrade. You know how it's got alot of power at first but slowly you get use to it and it just doesn't feel as bad ass anymore. I have had the t-5's almost a year now. I ordered a prodesign head and still haven't felt the need to put it on yet!! maybe I just need to start racing more Banshee's. Then I'll prob. want the head on!!! he! he! Quote
hemimike Posted August 4, 2004 Author Report Posted August 4, 2004 What would be the best choice of filter. The Swiss Cheese filter box inserts or the toomey two into one kit with the pipes and jets? Quote
