Well, while I hoped to finish this bike a long time ago, I just do not have the time, I lost the garge space to work on it a while back and it sits under a cover in my shed, It will start and run, needs sompletion, All the big work is done, Hours upon Hours of fabrication went into it. I rode a Raptor once with a ZX-6R engine and it was rediculously fast, that is what led me to do this project, But working 7 days a week. I will never be able to finish it. I have the whole harness labled front front to back, alot of wires can be removed from the harness to simplify it. Foot pegs need to be welded on Long ass chain Twist throttle or hook up the new thumb throttle Included Stock banshee plastics will fit with minor trimming I listed it on ebay, Check it out, if anyone you know is interested, tell them to feel free to give me a call. I wish i had more time to work on it, but i dont even have time to ride the other ones I have also.   3. I think im going to go with a Cub cylinder... and a stock crank... anyone know anybody selling a good used stock banshee crank???
  4. ohh ok, it is an ebay link to 4mm Cub Cylinder/pistons/crank. If i went with a stock crank and Cheetah Cubs... how many CC will that be. Are the Cubs pistons larger than stock???
  5. search out my name and you will find pics of my project shee... i havent worked on it in months. I plan on getting back to working on it. It is a ZX-7R engine in a Banshee Frame. The banshee frame isnt a good frame to start with because the Cylinder head and total engine height is so big, a bunch of modifications need to be done. CR500 motor would be cool... i know i seen one guy on here who had it. A snowmobile motor would be a fun ride. Snomobile's will do over 100 easy. For the cost of going with a motorcycle motor. You could be the baddest shee motor.
  6. Ruko... Ok... i understand now. In the above posted link that includes the crank... is that a stroker or a long rod. Also wha else will i need to purchase??? Change Domes? Crank Bearings/Seals??? Thanks Everyone for your help.
  7. I really wanted to get a set of Cubs. I was going to have the Crank redone with new rods. Is it the rods they were using that are bad. If i have the Crank rebuilt, any particular rods to go with? Is it better to buy an assembled crank already done. Trinty wants -$100 Ea. Rod -$65 True and weld -$130 Labor Approx $400 Is there a significant benefit to using a 4mm long rod Vs. Standard. I see the Cubs advertised on eBay all were setup for the 4mm long rod.   8. Hmmm whats this??? Can you guess whats wrong with this? Maybe i can straighten this in a Vice? JB weld, dingleberry's good as new? Right? To think just 2 hours Prior it looked New... So its up in the air tomorrow i will get prices on everything. Both jugs the bore is ok. But the Bridge between the ports in the reed cage area, a bit broke off... I dont know if it can be repaired(add material and regrind the port) Also since the Rod needs replacement.. should i consider a Stroker. Whats the diff btwn a 4mm Long rod and a stroker. Does the long rod give more torque? If the cylinder cant be repaired i guess a new jug and a resleave/port by trinty will fix that. Anyone want to break it down Crank???$$ Jug???$$ Resleave???$$ Misc, Gaskets???$$ Thanks guys

  10. Well in the packet with the original title, there is a Piece of paper that says Stock Rod, and which gaskets to use IIRC .030 Head gasket .040 Base gasket. Only reason i was considering the Cubs was because of there performance. Its coming apart later this afternoon. So 420 Trinty motors have 69-71mm piston's... What is the Stock Size?
  11. I have yet to take it apart. Im going to try and snap some photos of it later today or tomorrow. I think i got a smokin deal, compared to what i paid for just a roller about a Year back now. From what it looks like to me, looks liek stock jugs...??? With a Big aluminum Head on it, looks bigger than the average Cool head. But the jugs look stock. Im hoping to have the top end apart by tomorrow night. In all the reciepts there was alittle paper that said Stock rod... so im thinking it is just a big bore.   12. NEW PICS UP ON Page 1 Post 13/14 Enjoy!!! So last week i sold my 99 Shee(T6 kit w/ 2:1 Filter) I loved that bike. But i wanted to finish my Mutt(ZX-7R powered Shee) So i sold the 99 to a friend. Today i came across a MINT mint MIINNTT 95' Banshee with Trinity 420, Brand New T5's, +2 Swingarm, PPI Shock,Trinty Head?? New ITP Whls/Tires & More... So of course i couldnt turn it down. The guy had replaced the top-end and it seized up within a few hours of riding. I checked and it looked like it had NO coolent in it. I picked the bike up and havent tore it down yet. But, i'd like to explore some options on this quad. I've been looking into these Cubs. The guy said the Trinty 420 was an animal and it would get out on his yfz450 by atleast 5 lengths... Truth or salespitch??? On average what does kind of HP gains would be seen from the Trinty 420 to the Cheetah Cubs??? Big bore no stroker. And whats the deal on the porting on these??? I see some place's including port work in pricing, and others offer it and then the cylinders need to be Nikel plated?? Thanks Bobby

  14. I am looking at picking up another banshee from a local guy. Thing is it has changed hands so many times that the original Bill of Sale is lost. I have tried to call the local police department and they are no Help at all. They are acting like i was asking for the last owner's SS# I really want to pick it up but, i want to be sure god for bid i get stopped riding it, im not looking for someone to bail me out of jail.   15. Its time for a top-end for my banshee... Its a 1999 and it had a top-end already. I have Toomey T6's... and i love them... but now i wish i went with t5's becaus i was thinking of doing some porting. What do you guys think i should do? Also how do you know if the bottom end is bad??? the shee still runs.. but is very slow... basically like no powerband... its got like a year on this top-end.

  18. thanks for all the props guys, it is coming along slowly... this weekend we did soem quick wiring and cranked it over... i think one of the ignition boxes might of went bad... i have my regular street bike that i can swap pieces off of though to make sure... Color scheme... still up in the air... but i think definitly alot of black!!! chronicwatson... Yes i still want to hear it bad... the muffler is a R1 muffler shortened about 9" i think it is going to sound insane... ill def post some sound clips though... Cotton Eyed... I really hope that one day i can make out to the west coast, i see so many pictures of out there and that looks like THE MUTT's home OIlsmoke... I can take a measurement on ground clearance for you... heres what it comes down to... to get the motor lower in the frame i had to let the oilpan hang out of the frame... but once i put on Cotton Eyed Joe's swing arm it raised it back to stock ground clearance, Im trying to keep it pretty versatile so i can swap some suspension and run the 1/4 mile(ashphalt) with it too
  19. Cotten Eyed: Well if you chk out the old post you can see the BS bender we were using, my friend just ordered a real bender it should be in soon. Plastics... well rear plastics will fit with minor modifications, the front as well... the rad shroud will fit, and the piece that covers the front frame will fit it will have to be cut when it meets the tank... but i might use full bores and cut them up. Dopeman: god knows... LOL NOSBanshee4u: people think im crazy... especially when they hear im bringin it out in the dirt

  21. progress is excellent... we have been working on it alot lately... i will be posting up soem new pics over the weekend... wanted to get alot done before the next photo shoot tires and rims are new... but not looking to seperate, they loook too good on the bike
  22. WHY? If you guys have seen my other posts on the bike i am building... selling this bike just lets me finish the other bike alittle sooner. I am not hard pressed to get rid of the bike... but i really dont have the room for it (99 banshee, Project banshee, 01 400ex, 01 cr125, 98 GSXR 750, 01 ZX-7R, 99 SEA-DOO, 18Ft speedboat) you get the point... if someone is local looking for a great banshee, that runs great, fast as hell, and clean.. this is the bike for you. HISTORY: Here is alittle history on it. I bought it about a year ago... it was all stock. The previous owner had done the top end in it, and when putting it back together starting screwing with the carbs.. i bought the bike it was running... but rough. Mainly it would fall on its face on hard acceleration. I brought it to a MX shop and 1 hour later he adjusted the carbs on it. I then bought aset of Toomey t6's with there jet kit and installed them along with a set of 2001 banshee blue plastic, ITP cast wheels with ITP sand stars(rear) and Smae rear rims with Holeshots in the front. I have riden this bike about twice a month(sundays) for about 9 months. Front tires i believe still have the rubber nubs still on them MODS: Toomey T6 kit with 2:1 filter Nerf nets ITP C-Series whls(MINT) ITP sandstar rears(MINT) Holeshot front tires(MINT) Dominator bars Anything wrong with it? Front headlights dont work(glass broke on one, other needs bulb) $3500 Hopefully i can snap some pics tomorrow

  24. I run T6's... and as above mentioned.. power comes on real strong, REAL STRONG in power band... a friend of mine runs T5's... now i never rode his bike... he has some other mods mine doesnt(carbs, reeds and cages)... he said it is a whole hell of alot better than the DG's
