stclark04 Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 i think everyone has had that problem, i went to westlakes (hardware store) and bought me a stiffer longer spring to put in there. havent had any problems since. Quote
Gargamel Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 I just found a couple of washers that fit in the hole and put them behind the spring. All fixed for 4 months and going Quote
Stuff Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 there was a thread on here a while ago on how to rebuild them yourself..... I did mine by what was posted by Fixitrod (I think????) and/or Holyman. Their fix for the rattle worked for me and is still holding up with no probs. Maybe get a hold of them and see if they can give you the info on how to do it yourself. Quote
dnhyoung Posted July 24, 2004 Report Posted July 24, 2004 holyman has an awesome fix for that rattling kick starter. he fixed mine a cfew months ago, and I almost miss that annoying rattle while sitting there at an idle. NOT!!!!! Quote

rippinciao Posted July 28, 2004 Author Report Posted July 28, 2004 OK, I fixed it . But I used a way none of you mention. It works well to. I cut a head of a nail and placed it on top of the spring. works mint. HOW DO U LIKE DOS APPLES. Quote
Hockey390 Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 I got the kick start repair done by holyman.. Great work, still is good and that was about 5 months ago. Before I had that done I just had a hose clamp attacked around my brake line, then i put the kicker in it when not in use.. Keeps the rattle away, but its a pain in the ass cause everytime you want to kick it over you gotta reach down, pull it out.. put it in there before you go...all that, so... Holyman fixed that prob. Wassup350 Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 I just got the cascade kicker rebuild, and it seems to work pretty well. I also greased it real well too i think that grease should make it last longer so make sure you grease it up good. Quote
