jlh Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 It is time to buy tires for the shee, I ride on hard pack/ it's like pavement with loose gravel on it, real slick shit! The stock tires suck! I was looking at the holeshot hd's, anyone have any suggestions? I can't get up any of the real steep hills because I start to lose traction. That suck's! Quote
bansheeMD Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 I love my Bandit XC's but I dont know how good they would be for slick stuff. Just my thoughts. Hope it helps Quote
Banshee~ Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 (edited) i ride on the same terrain as you i just ordered holeshot xc's all round they should be here sat at the earliest and tues a latest if you can wait that long ill tell you how they do. Edited July 8, 2004 by Banshee~ Quote
. Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 Razr2's, 20" blackwaters, or turf tamers depending on riding conditions. I'd go with the 2's or the blackwaters if I were you. Is their any other tires worth buying really besides realtors for the heavy duty crap? Quote
jlh Posted July 8, 2004 Author Report Posted July 8, 2004 I do like the look of the Maxxis Razr 2's they look like they would hook up. Quote
randelator Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 kenda klaw are simply the best period ask kory ellis!! Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 love my holeshots or razrs' same damn thing, but i also like my grooved turf tamers, there a cheap good tire. but for traction, ever thing about shortening the swingarm or buying a -2, it REALLY helps out with traction. Quote
Toomey Banshee Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 I liked the Razrs so much on the 99 I gave my son that I just ordered a new rear set along with some polished Douglas 190's for my 94. Quote
sandman121383 Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 realtor runner here man sorry. they throw mad shit tho hahaha! Quote
raptorooster Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 I l.ike my holeshot xcr's, soft tread though, the seem to hook up good on nearly everything, Quote
ness Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 Razar2 in the back give great traction in just about everything. The fronts look a little funny with just the three rows of knobs, but they stear very precise. They are expensive, but are also 6 ply so considering that the cost is reasonable. Quote
MULLET~BOY Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 hole shot wear fast so do razr tires kendra klaws are what alot of people are running they hook up great Quote
jadaven Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 Im runnin holeshot xc's they hook up good on gravel and its like ridin on rails on pavement. I also have a set of turfs. They seem to hook up good, but not as good as the holeshots Quote
