papa_smurf49319 Posted June 30, 2004 Author Report Posted June 30, 2004 well i just ordered the wisecos, and the vito's crank, they will be here today Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 wiseco is such a trusted name id never get anything else. my brother ended up with some prox pistons one time for a rebuild and that thing ran like shit. i dont know what i twas about it, but 2 months after they were installed it had no compression. id stick with wiseco. racer Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 (edited) a vito's piston a just a specially made wiseco, so the quality should be the same. its too expensive for vitos to start forging pistons so they contract the deal out to wiseco with their own dseign/mods to a regualr pro-lite. its goes the same way with trinity's superlites. they are wiseco pistons with extra material removed from the wrist pin area and different intake windows. as for the power difference i have no idea. MULLET~BOY Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 the vito's pistions skirt seems to crack i would jsut run standard wiseco Quote
MotulMonsta Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 Vito's pistons are made by Wiseco. The piston skirt is shorter, the intake ports are raised and the piston itself is lighter and has a higher dome hight then the standard wiseco pro-lites. I think Vito's is a better piston..but it's also twice as expensive. Quote
